Powder Metal Bronze Bushings are self-lubricating bearing components manufactured through conventional Powder Metallurgy technology using bronze-based metal powders. During the manufacturing process, a controlled porous structure is intentionally created, allowing lubricating oil to be vacuum impregnated into the interconnected pores. This enables long-term self-lubricating performance without the need for external lubrication under normal operating conditions.
Compared with conventional machined bronze bushings, PM bronze bushings provide lower manufacturing costs, excellent wear resistance, reduced maintenance requirements, and outstanding production efficiency for large-volume applications.
Unlike Metal Injection Molding, which aims to achieve near-full density, Powder Metallurgy intentionally retains controlled porosity, making it the preferred manufacturing process for self-lubricating bronze bushings.
